About Coach TJ Atley

Coach TJ grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada as a multi-sport athlete, where her primary sports were ice hockey, field hockey and golf.  Coach TJ attended to the University of Washington from 1980-1984, captained the golf team and graduated with a degree in Speech Communication. As an accomplished player, she played on 5 BC Teams (top 4) and placed 3rd (Bronze medal) in the inaugural 1978 Americas Cup. TJ played for Team Canada in 1983 (top 2) and had four wins and 4 runners-up for the University of Washington. Coach TJ has played in 4 majors, including the 1986 US Open. Best ranking in Canada – 7th as a junior and 4th as an amateur.

Coach TJ is an LPGA Life Member.  She was nominated for the Western Section Teacher of the Year (2014), Coach of the Year (2016), and was awarded the Western Section Junior Leader of the Year award (2021 and 2022).

Coach TJ specializes in University Placements and has placed over 150 players, many on golf scholarships, and many to their dream schools, in universities across USA and Canada.  Over 20 of her students have turned professional.   

Developing the Athlete

Coach TJ considers herself a coach, not an instructor. She has a track record of developing players from ‘New to play’ to expert level. Therefore, her approach is one of a long-term development.



Head Mandarin and Cantonese Coach
Christa Wong, who’s originally from Hong Kong, developed a strong passion for golf, through the influence of her father at a young age. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree specializing in Marketing and has been working in the golf industry since 2012. Christa is now a LPGA Teaching Division Member. Christa is also well versed in club fitting and can speak fluent Cantonese.



Zoe has been a part of Zone Golf Academy since 2012.  She played competitive golf through the CJGA and the Grizzly Golf Tour. In the 2016 BC Summer Games, her team captured the Gold Medal! She is currently attending University where she is studying business. Before training in golf, Zoe had figure skated for six years and is also actively involved in ballet.



Kasandra Eccles attended Northwood University in West Palm Beach, Florida on a golf scholarship. Upon returning to Canada, Kasandra studied Marketing and Business at BCIT; then went on to receive her Nursing Unit Coordinator certificate to work in the hospital. She is a certified SNAG instructor and also taught golf in elementary schools for the BCGA. Kasandra designs resumes and athletic profiles for student athletes to be sent to university coaches in Canada and the United States.



Master Shishir is a pioneer and mentor of holistic training and healthy lifestyle. He developed his internal strength and self-realization thru self-discipline and by over-coming personal, professional, family, financial and political crisis. He started Arnis martial arts training at age 8.
Since 2003, Shishir has been training amateur and professional golfers as a “Body, Mind, Spirit Coach”. Shishir has worked at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy and Performance Center in orlando, Florida.
Master Shishir created “Quiet mind, Smiling Heart Meditation”, “Chi Golf”, “Sinawali Kickbox”, “Tai Chi Kung”. He has produced several DVD’s and books. He is a father of 4 children and was inducted in the Martial Arts all of Fame and name International Grandmaster of the year in 2005. Master Shishir is also a certified Natural Healer and massage Therapist.



Lucas Wu started his golfing journey as a at the age of eleven. He joined Zone Golf Academy as a competitive junior golfer in 2014. He soon became Team Captain, then a mentor and now is a PGA of Canada Professional.
In 2017, Coach Lucas was ranked 3rd in Canada under the Canadian Junior Golf Association program. He won an MJT and two CJGA tournaments shooting under par. Coach Lucas played junior golf competitively for 7 years in the junior ranks.

After turning down several scholarships in the USA, Coach Lucas has been studying kinesiology at Langara College. He enjoys many indoors and outdoor activities, including snowboarding, hiking and fitness.

Coach Lucas passed his PAT (Player’s Ability Test in 2020) with flying colours. He likes to teach all aspects on the golf game.



Nicolas started playing golf at three years old and instantly developed a passion for it. Competing at the highest level during his junior years, he has captured a few tournaments including the Pacific Northwest Evergreen Classic 5 years running. He has also competed for CJGA Canada in 2015, winning a gold medal at the LGS Nations Cup. While dedicating his time playing golf, he has also coached and played a variety of sports growing up.
Currently, he is studying at UBC for a bachelors in Psychology and General Business. He has garnered a plethora of golf experience through playing, coaching, and working in the golf industry for many years.
Nicolas has a meticulous and calm attitude both on and off the course. With years of experience motivating clients and mentoring students to reach their goal; he can leverage his knowledge and experience to help develop and take your game to a new level.



Alexa Loo is an expert mental coach and founder of Alexa Loo Coaching. A two-time Olympian in the sport of Parallel Giant Slalom (PGS) Snowboarding (2006 Turin and 2010 Vancouver), Alexa knows what it’s like to perform under pressure. She is now sharing and teaching the mental training skills Olympians use to deliver top performances. Through group workshops and one-on-one tutoring, Alexa motivates and teaches students by using stories of her Olympic experiences along with her sense of humor and a genuine desire to see her students achieve success. Alexa creates customized, practical methods to help develop the necessary mental skills to tackle university applications and standardized tests. She helps students craft their Personal Performance Plan (PPP). Her fun and easy to practice drills reduce stress, induce motivation, energy, and focus, as well as increase confidence to support high level performance in all facets of life.



Coach Oneal Mendosa and his “Mendosa Boxing & Training Academy” offers a unique, holistic approach to fitness and sports performance. Coach Oneal implements the importance of a strong mind together with a strong body. Over the past 15 years as a trainer, he has had a revolutionary fitness journey, in which he uses several mediums to create and perfect his style.
